At the last meeting...

On the evening of November 17th, 2010, Richard Madge, an elder at Knox Presbyterian Church on Victoria St, Goderich presented a history of early Goderich and the beginnings of Knox in celebration of its 17th anniversary in 2010. The meeting, held in the Huron County Museum auditorium, was well-attended and Richard's slides and notes were well-received.

Plaque Project...

The Society is continuing its plan to erect plaques to noteworthy people and places across the County. If you have an idea of where and what to add to a plaque, call Mac Campbell or David Armstrong. A planning team under has been organized. All suggestions will be seriously considered.

Progress on Historical Notes...

The 2011 edition of Huron Historical Notes is underway. It will feature the story of the municipality of Morris Turnberry with Jodi Jerome synthesizing the recent publication of the definitive history of the area. Contact Ralph Laviolette if you have time to volunteer time to help to produce the edition.

If you have a suggested topic or an anecdote or article to contribute to the next Pot Pourri, drop Ralph a line or e-mail:
